Anesthesia for Pilonidal sinus surgery

Hello, I will be undergoing pilonidal sinus surgery and will be given spinal related anesthesia. Since it's my first surgery I'm scared if I will be conscious of what's happening around. Will I feel sleepy with this anesthesia? I dnt want to know anything that's happening during my surgery. Please advise. Thanks!
