hi. anomaly scan is adviced at 18 weeks. this scan os done to deyect structural normalcy of the foetus. if bychance lethal anomolies are found it gives two week window for you to plan for legal abortion. in some cases we ask for additional confirmatory tests like karyotyping procedures which help you decide the plan of action.
