It started as pain during bowel movements in May 2024 and escalated to a constant pain in the anal region . I had it checked out with a general surgeon on 18 June , who inserted his finger into the rectum and the pain just from the observation was so severe that my blood pressure dropped and I fainted . The GS diagnosed me with a perianal fissure and abscess at 6'o clock region .He also recommended few blood tests and a perianal USG . But I've been too scared to go for the USG. So I tried to manage the problem at home with stool softener , anobliss and sitz baths and I don't have any pain whatsoever now .But now , from the past few days , I've been leaking foul smelling pus from a bump at 6'o clock position , just on opening of anus. My questions: 1- are there alternatives for USG? 2- is this a fistula? (I'm afraid of fistulas, one of relatives had it , underwent 3 surgeries ) 3- prognosis
