Amylase is out of range

2025-07-21 06:36:47
My amylase report shows high value 195. Last year I tested it was around 200. Assuming it is chronic & may be exist for years & it was detected last year by chance what could be the issue. I don't have diabetes. Could this cause body itching or eosinophilia or how it should be treated

Consider testing lipase, macroamylase, and ultrasound abdomen to rule out pancreatic or hepatobiliary causes. If symptoms like abdominal pain, nausea, or weight loss are present, further workup (CT/MRCP) may be needed. If itching and eosinophilia persist, a liver function test, stool for ova/parasites, and allergy screening may be helpful.
