Certain massaging maneuvers and giving skin to skin contact to your baby will help in improving your milk output. Also you need to eat well which includes 4 wholesome meals everyday and at least 2 glasses of milk. Also drink plenty of water. However the best measure to improve milk output is by regularly putting the baby to breast or by pumping. You should attempt to feed your baby when s/he is awake and quiet.Crying while attempting to feeds is usually due to reasons like improper latching ,forcible feeding or aversive smells(soap/perfume) rather than low milk output. You should pump when your breasts feel full..Which is usually after 2-3 hours. And you should pump till milk easily comes out..Excessive and forceful pumping might give you pain which will further reduce your output.
