Acute anterior wall MI....prognosis

2017-07-23 10:45:27
My brother suffered from acute anterior wall mi on 14.07.2017. He is 30 years. Thrombolysis was done with reteplase within 2 hours of admission to the hospital. Ejection fraction at the time of admission was 40%. Patient was discharged in apparently stable condition after three days. Should angiogram be done now? Is it of any value now?

Angiography at this stage is not compulsory. But if you are  symptomatic like having  chest pain /breathlessness /irregular heartbeat or if you are diabetic or smoker then u may get it done for evaluation of residual  blockages. That will clarify need for further management  (medical/ Angioplasty/Bypass surgery).
