I have started using gycolic acid 12% cream for removing dark spots and acne and hyperpigmentation. But recently after my periods and before my periods I get alot of acne problem. I still have acne on my face which were more likely to be pimples and I never have faced this much acne in my entire life. What could be the reasons.

Please stop self treatment. It is not safe. Acne that is pimples need to be treated according to the severity of the condition. If it is severe, we need to start medication to prevent permanent scarring. We also need to check the hormonal status in females which may be the root cause of acne. Some dietary modifications also help. Please contact me via the online consult option.

No.. treatment depends on the grade..Acne or  pimples... Due to hormonal changes..Oily skin causes it...Common in adolescent age...May occur in adults also.. Food like Oily foods, ice cream, chocolate and sweets increase it.. Treatment depends on the grade of pimples or acne..So, please  send photos by direct online consultation as it's a must to see which grade of pimples or acne for accurate diagnosis and treatment.
