Ache at the back of head

2018-03-27 05:16:56
Been feeling pain at the back of my head for a few years now. Eyes are tested and are fine. The pain occurs independent of any other symptom. It's as regular as once in a week (at least). It feels like a throbbing pain and comes and goes in a few minutes to hours. In worst case scenarios, the pain is intense and not throbbing and persist for hours. Only been taking pain killer in worst case scenarios. Noticed the pain occur after physical activity like climbing stairs but also occurs at other times when I wake up with it or get it at home during a weekend.

Have you checked your blood pressure? Your head ache could be caused due to a high blood pressure. It could also be an simple muscle spasm, in that case a anti inflammatory should work. Don't panic. Use a pain killer when you experience pain. See if you have neck pain during those episodes. If you have any further doubts please feel free to ask.
Next Steps
If you have neck pain, get a xray neck done.
Health Tips
In case of Vomiting, visual disturbance please see a neurologist.
