Pls let me know How many days it is Advisable to abstain before Semen analysis test? Is it ok having sex the night before giving sample for test?

4-5 days abstinence is advisable before going for Semen Analysis. No you cannot have sex the night before giving sample.. Abstain from any sexual activity or even if you had Nocturnal Emissions..Wait for 4 days and give sample on the 5th day.

48 to 72 hours before giving a sample. In case you are planing for ivf then you can have sex before night and give sample in morning...
