My mother is having rheumatoid arthritis along with carpal tunnel syndrome and motor neuropathy, doctor prescribe her wysolene 10 mg for a month, can she take covid vaccine, also vaccine efficiency will be there or not if she take steroid pls clarify age 56 yrs

The basic idea of giving any vaccine because it acts like in infection for example if you are taking covid vaccine that means to say you are are having covid symptoms but in mild grade so that the antibodies will produce in the body ,this is the idea before giving any vaccine. If your mother is taking the steroids then immunity will get suppressed and in my opinion for few days she can stop taking wysolone and vaccine can be taken.
