Hello, An Xray is required for this purpose. If there is no pain and not sensitivity it can be built up with normal filling or else last resort can be root canal with crown

Good morning Dear Thanks for the query As per pic and your words there is no need of surgery , Just visit your dentist go for a X ray, if it's not involving the pulp (as it seems by seeing the pic), Just go for composite build up that is more than sufficient. An X-ray will be required in order to give you a definite diagnosis and treatment plan. If the damage is not up to the pulp which is the tooth nerve then u may go for a composite build up. But if nerve is damaged u have to do a rct and crown

No surgery is required. This can be repaired by a simple cosmetic filling. Your dentist will check your bite and guide you appropriately. The tooth should be observed for sensitivity or signs of infection long term
