8 week old baby wont take feeds
My baby is 8 weeks old and is only breastfed. Since he was 2 weeks old he used to pull away and cry during feeds. This used to happen during evenings. I gave him domstal thrice a day for 3 days. I give colicaid whenever he cries too hard. But it has only worsened now at 8 weeks. He cries and pulls away during feeds from morning till night. He is never full, he wants to feed but is in distress/pain. He spits up a bit of curdled milk. I burp him after feeds. Is it silent reflux? If yes, what medicines should I give to make him feel better.
Yes it appears to be gastro oesophageal reflux.medication is indicated only when child is not gaining weight.if still problamatic use tab lanzol junior one fourth tab daily morning 30mins before feed diluted in breast milk expressed.no clots should be there.feed with filler.this will minimise symptoms a little.reflex reduces by the age of 3to 4 months in most babies.
