Hello parent,
Baby's body should normally feel warm to touch. If you feel that baby is warmer than the usual or if you feel that the baby is not well, you should check the body temperature using a digital thermometer. Temperature Readings more than 100 F are abnormal and needs to be investigated.
Regarding the precautions, make sure the room isn't very hot and for first 6 months of life do not give anything except mother's milk to the baby.
