2.4 yr old wit body temperature

My daughter is 2.4 yrs from s'day she is having body temperature above 100.4 but no symptoms of cold n cough she is normal n active oly. Oly rise in temp n I gave paracetamol syrup 3ml . Kindly advise me why it is and do I need to consult dr nearby or it is due to this hot  climate. Tia.

Hi. Could be viral illness. Give paracetamol once in 4-6 hrly if temperature > 99 deg F. Give plenty of liquids/ water to drink.
Next Steps
Fever will take 2-3 days to settle. If child not active or fever not coming down with medications, consult a nearby paediatrician
