Well I tried this idea, but it was not effective. I then visited my allopath doctor, who then thought of it as an stomach infection, for which he gave me medications. Within few days, I revisited him. His next suggestion was to do a TSH test, and check on my thyroid. I had no clue what thyroid / TSH really meant then. So I basically sat on internet (For about 10 hrs) all day, educating myself on TSH / Thyroid.
After doing the research, I gathered that thyroxin will eventually suppress the thyroid gland to function, and will be a lifelong medication, with several side effects. Thyroxin doseage will just increase with time. This knowledge from internet, made me take a decision of not taking thyroxin, come what may be !
Next day, I met my allopath doctor with TSH: 11.5 (29th July, 2017) reports, and it clearly showed that my TSH was high. He gave me some medicines and told me that if my TSH does not come down in 15 days, I will have to start taking thyroxine. I was lucky to have my sister who is a pharmacist and I shared the medicine name with her, for which she said that it was “Steroids”. The doctor neither educated me on medication nor told me my options. So this is where I got more bent on not taking his medicine- Steroids. I let 15 days pass, again did my TSH,and met him. This time, my TSH: 11.7 was higher. I told him, that I did not take his medicine. He was showing his insensitive side by being so furious, by yelling at me infront of my family, and told me that my “Thyroid gland” is over.
There was this strange feeling of both fear and anger inside me. Fear of the slow-poison inside me and anger at the allopath doctor, who thought I committed a crime, by not taking his medicine. However, the good thing about this doctor, is that he referred me another Endocolongist who happened to be a gold medalist, and she assured me that till I my TSH does not hit 20 +, no reason to take thyroxine. Well, that was a big relief, because I knew, I could buy some time trying other options. This is where my connection with homeopathy started for my TSH. As usual, my first impression was that it would get solved by none other than my family homeopath doctor in Ahmedabad. He would give me heaps of medicines. My instincts, was the more medicines, that I carry, the faster I will recover. I was so wrong. I tried him for 3 – 4 months, where in my TSH would come down and also hit its peak of 12.3 in Dec ’17. This is where my sister and nephew, told me on a serious note that I start thyroxine, as I need to get my TSH under controllable limits, before it starts affecting my other organs. Yes, TSH can be a slow poison / free radicals affecting the brain etc ….all made sense to me, but I just kept telling myself, that I need to figure something out soon, as I am running against time. From 12.3, it wouldn’t take time to reach 20+.
Feeling helpless and yet angry about the fact that if my family homeopath doctor could not fix it, then no one else could do it. Hoping against hope, I decided to google “ Good homeopath doctors in Baroda”, and that’s where I saw Dr. Neha Smart’s information. Studying about her, I thought she having worked under Batra’s she would be assist me in hair transplant or give me some solutions for my hairfall. However, I briefed her about my TSH, and asked her over the phone, if she has handled such cases. She however, said, she can try and asked me to visit her.
When I visited her, I told her that I didn’t have much time as I was told that I can avoid thyroxin till my TSH : 20. she addressed my fear : what if TSH does not come down ? Halfheartedly, I told her I may go back to this conventional thyroxin medicine. But since I have little time, I want to try.
During the meeting, I could gather She had the skills, to ask questions in a very subtle manner and get her answers from me. She very patiently listened to my story : From childhood to current timestamp. Never did she sound, as if she was pressed on time or carry an aura of “ Batra brand”. I told her honestly of my experiences of homeopath not working for me. She never accused me of going to wrong people / taking incorrect medications. She just said,” lets start on a fresh note !”
At the end of the meeting, she said “ I am going to give you very minimal medicine and lets see how it goes.” (My experience, was otherwise: unless you have heaps of homeopath medicines, it would not work.) I kept asking her are u sure with this minimal qty will work ? She said “ I should try.” If it does not, we will change it. (I was like, “I don’t have time in hand, am getting closer to TSH 20, by the minute). But yes, I went back home with a hope.
I tested my TSH: 6.9 @ March’18 , and saw it coming down to : in a span of 1-1.5 month. I was like ” WOW” or sometimes I thought, there may be some error in calibration machine of Toprani.. What my former homeopath doctor kept doing for nearly 6 – 8 months, she got better results in 1 – 1.5 months. However, by then I read a lot of things on internet, and I started trying all sort of stunts: Bitter Juice / Green Juice / Black cumin / Yoga….etc. I would make it a point to update her. She was very supportive and never got furious at me. She kept saying only one thing, “don’t make your body use to anything life long”. So again, I felt green juice / bitter juice had to go eventually. She read articles to me and shared her knowledge, of what can trigger metabolism. What could be a good breakfast content ?. Waking up to a fruit and not tea ! Drinking water ! In the process, she also understood my nature ( don’t like being hammered repeatedly) , which could also be a reason for my thyroid to exist.
We mutually agreed to do the TSH every time, before I meet her, as I had no symptoms, that could be addressed. It was her push, which made me work hard and build my confidence to say “ yes thyroid can be eliminated as well.” . Her underlying strength, is to cure with minimal medication. She does not believe in overdoing medications.
My family, had seen my TSH : 12.3 and recently it was TSH: 3.9. They have given the due credit to her, for getting me out of this. With my experience, they thought earlier, that homeopathy cannot fix thyroid. We were all so wrong !!!
I have seen days of taking high potency twice a day. Currently I am on low potency once a day. Periodically, she would change the potency, and would be honest in saying it to me, if my TSH went little haywire. I get so lazy at times, that I tend to skip my medications. She would also make it a point, to remind me for taking the medicines on time and not skipping it, if my TSH was little higher. She mentioned many a times, that it was easy to get me out of it, because I came with no baggage of “Thyroxin”.
There is a feeling now, that even if my TSH goes high again, Dr. Neha Smart is there to fix it !!! She is a very cheerful / encouraging person. Its come to the point, where we ask each other reviews on latest movies. I guess, watching movies also help keeping my thyroid at bay !!!
She is very passionate about her field, *** ***** ********* *** ********* * educating herself, by attending workshops/seminars, which may be in Mumbai or miles away from her family.
Universe does listen to you and waits for your instructions, to help you out. I can say it confidently that she has been an angel, and came at a timestamp, where I was losing all hopes. As they say, timing is all that matters!!! She goes an extra mile for giving you that extra time, listening to you. She will definitely make sure you understand that “giving up” is not an option.
My advise to all of you folks out there, who are diagnosed with thyroid or any other health related issue, just get in touch with Dr. Neha Smart. She can make miracles happen !!!
