She specializes in handling disturbances among children, managing adolescent teens and family and marital issues. She is effective in the use of Behaviour Therapy techniques and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) on Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Depression and other psychological disturbances. She has worked extensively with children with issues such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and time management difficulties and effectively rehabilitated them through counseling and by involving the parents using supportive therapy and guidance. After completing her Masters, and before joining the clinic, she worked as a Post Graduate Student Supervisor at Sir J.J. Hospital, Mumbai for one year, guiding PG students for their clinical practicum. She has done extensive certificate course on Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) from the EMDR Institute headed by Francine Shapiro(New York). She had successfully used EMDR to relieve Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) on victims of the Kutch and Gujarat Earthquake (2001) and also on victims of 26/11 terrorist attack in Mumbai (2008). She has presented research a paper on ‘Mental Retardation- In my child due to my Karma?’ at the Annual Bombay Psychological Association meeting. She has prepared a paper on ‘Street Vendors and their Mental Wellbeing’ which was presented at the Annual Bombay Psychological Association Meeting and also at a Round table Conference organized by ‘International Labour Organization’ in India. She has conducted workshops with a wide audience on essential subjects such as Managing Stress, Why we love, Tips for happiness, and Healthy Study Habits at Indian Merchant Association, Mumbai Plumbing Association, and other esteemed organizations.
