I visited the doctor for recurrent throat infections, and he treated the current infection with a dose of antibiotics and painkillers. We discussed the option of tonsil removal, and he explained the pros and cons in detail. I came to a conclusion to have the tonsils removed, and we were able to schedule the surgery soon after. I was treated very well by the hospital(Hiranandani Hospital, Powai) staff including Dr. Vernekar, Dr. Sushma and the nursing staff on my floor. I would definitely recommend Dr. Vernekar for his professionalism, care to patients, and conservative approach towards medication. The surgery was successful and I am fully recovered, 2 weeks after.
