Doctor Kalpen Desai is extremely patient and listened to the problem carefully and explained the entire diagnosis and problems and I was extremely satisfied by it. The problem I faced was before and after visiting the doctor with the receptionist's rude behaviour. I was unaware of whether I should be going for a walk in or take an appointment and hence immediately went to her to enquire about the same. Initially she didn't even bother to reply to me and when I asked again she just asked for my name and number and followed by asking me if I would be able to pay the consultation fees which was very sudden since I was not even inappropriately dressed or gave out any signs of doing so. Just because a young patient comes to the clinic does not mean he/she won't be paying the fees. The doctor's consultation was pretty smooth and after that when I was done with the consultation and I came out she asked for a paper which confused me. To which she sarcastically remarked as the paper which doctor normally asks for which meant the priscription. I was extremely disheartened by her behaviour considering that the doctor's behaviour is nowhere close to how she behaved and he is the complete opposite of it.

I believe that this problem should be addressed since she may be the reason that the doctor may be losing patients who haven't experienced his treatment before.

Dr kalpen desai is a very good and genuine doctor I have come across in so many years.. he always gives the best and correct advice and takes a lot of effort to see that the problem is solved easily .. I recommend this dr to everyone in my family and friends since he has really done marvellous job of treating many of my family members and especially my 6 yr old daughter who had a major elbow fracture and needed an urgent surgery. This dr helped us and without any surgery fixed up the fracture .. we are really thankful to him and would always continue with him in any future treatments..

My mom is suffering from frozen shoulder for past 6 months. She went to couple of doctors both at Virar and at Mumbai as well. Then I started looking for doctor online and came across Dr. Kalpen Desai's profile on Practo. I gone through various reviews provided by different patients and told to my mom that we should visit this doctor for sure. On our first visit, Dr. Kalpen explained us the situation and told that before we begin treatment he would like to have 3D sonography of my mom's shoulder to check what the root cause is. Luckily it was just Frozen shoulder. So doctor advised us to undergo physiotherapy for 10 days along with few medications. The pain is going away slowly. I wish all the success to Dr. Kalpen Desai.

Would also like to specially mention here that Dr Desai treated my father for a hip replacement surgery around4 -5yrs ago and my dad has been fine ever since.
