Disease interactions
Mononucleosis
moderateMononucleosis (kissing disease) is an infection caused by Epstein-Barr virus. It is spread through saliva. People with mononucleosis may develop a maculopapular skin rash (flat and small raised bumps on the skin) after 5-10 days of treatment with Amoxycillin 500 MG Capsule that resolves within days of discontinuing the use. Amoxycillin 500 MG Capsule may not be appropriate medicine in people with mononucleosis.
Colitis
moderateAmoxycillin 500 MG Capsule can kill the helpful bacteria in your stomach or intestine and leads to diarrhoea. Therefore use Amoxycillin 500 MG Capsule with extreme caution in case of gastrointestinal (stomach and intestine) diseases, particularly colitis (swelling of the inner lining of the colon), since it may worsen your condition.
Kidney Disease
moderateAmoxycillin 500 MG Capsule is filtered by the kidney and moved out of your body through urine. You will need special consideration if you have kidney problems. Taking this medicine while you have pre-existing kidney problems will lead to further damage. Dose adjustment will be done by your doctor based on your clinical condition.
