Dr. Sonali is the most friendliest person to talk to. Since the first day I met her, she made me felt so much at ease and I was so comfortable sharing everything with her. She listened to everything that I had to day intently and gave me some really great suggestions. Ever since I have started my sessions with her, I have seen positive changes in myself. I feel a sense of comfort and trust in her approach which has helped me navigate through my emotions and has helped me get a better insight into myself.

She also keeps sharing some anecdotes from her life which makes talking to her all the more relatable and relaxing.

I highly recommend Dr. Sonali to anyone who’s trying to navigate through life and want some effective psychiatric care and insights.

After 5 years in psychotherapy and taking medications for OCD, though my OCD itself was definitely resolved, there were many underlying issues which were left completely unaddressed. Though I was far from recovery, stressed and sceptical about the treatment I couldn’t help but feel a sense of hope, however minuscule it was. From the get go the doctor seemed to have a deep understanding of general issues and my specific problems. During subsequent visits she always infused me with hope and encouraged me even though I could barely comprehend my own strengths and abilities. She was tirelessly pushing for my recovery. Dr Sonali is someone with great compassion and understanding. When I visited her for the first time, I was at a very low point in my life. OCD took over my life, my life had changed completely. Due to the lack of awareness about this illness, I used to feel completely alone. But when I first visited Ms Sonali, within few minutes into our session I opened up to her about the issues I am facing, about my intrusive thoughts, and I never thought someone would understand what I am going through but she instantly did. These thoughts are unacceptable and taboo in the society that’s why we often feel that we could never get help, but that’s not true. I encourage anyone suffering from OCD or any other mental illness to consult Ms Sonali because my life has turned around ever since we have had sessions, we have practiced different techniques to battle this illness, and as each session proceeds I can feel that I am slowly beating OCD. This was my first time I ever went to see a psychologist. I used to have disturbing thoughts related to god and used to keep washing my hands and I had no idea why these disturbing images keep coming. Ms Sonali diagnosed me with OCD. Some sessions were very overwhelming as some thoughts I’ve never shared with anyone, but ma’am made it easy for me and made me understand that was the disorder and not my thoughts. The treatment went for 3 months and she gave me some tools and worksheets to work and helped me recover from OCD. Anyone struggling with OCD, I would highly recommend Ms Sonali Barthwal.
