I started therapy because my friend had booked a session with Dr Sonali. I thought what can someone do when there are solutions to my concerns. I started sessions 6 months back and now i can reflect back and wonder why i dint start this healing space process earlier. Ms Barthwal created a safe space for me to share/brainstorm/vent/cry/laugh on life things. Dealing with grief can be extremely challenging. Would recommend anyone who is going through a tough time to just go to her and she will make you so comfortable that you would start to see changes after some sessions. I still plan to go to her once a month now.

Dr Sonali is someone with great compassion and understanding. When I visited her for the first time, I was at a very low point in my life. OCD took over my life, my life had changed completely. Due to the lack of awareness about this illness, I used to feel completely alone. But when I first visited Ms Sonali, within few minutes into our session I opened up to her about the issues I am facing, about my intrusive thoughts, and I never thought someone would understand what I am going through but she instantly did. These thoughts are unacceptable and taboo in the society that’s why we often feel that we could never get help, but that’s not true. I encourage anyone suffering from OCD or any other mental illness to consult Ms Sonali because my life has turned around ever since we have had sessions, we have practiced different techniques to battle this illness, and as each session proceeds I can feel that I am slowly beating OCD. Dr Sonali was the much needed help I was looking for all these years. After 5 years in psychotherapy and taking medications for OCD, though my OCD itself was definitely resolved, there were many underlying issues which were left completely unaddressed. Though I was far from recovery, stressed and sceptical about the treatment I couldn’t help but feel a sense of hope, however minuscule it was. From the get go the doctor seemed to have a deep understanding of general issues and my specific problems. During subsequent visits she always infused me with hope and encouraged me even though I could barely comprehend my own strengths and abilities. She was tirelessly pushing for my recovery. I urge anyone seeking her help to trust her and sincerely work with her and she will see you through. And yes definitely keep working on the tools she provides until you embody them. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Sonali. I wish you a long spanning career and hope you can reach out to many more people in need.
