The general OPD at the hospital is a low-cost charitable activity meant for core clinical dermatology patients. The OPD is run collectively by a team of doctors under the head consultant (who is different everyday of the week). It is also an educational institute where fellow doctors from far and near come to learn dermatology. It may also happen that same patient gets to see a different doctor (from the same team) on next visit. You could check your consultants' name on the stickers attached to your prescriptions.(Are you sure they bear Dr Gupta's name?)

It is unfortunate that some people (even with no affordability issues) like to misuse this noble facility by the hospital for percieved ailments just to 'get a cream or a powder prescribed' for a 'scratch there' or a 'itch here' without even any inclination to get properly examined and create unnecessary crowds. In such a crowded setting, we try best to deliver treatment and cause no harm. Incase, you were unsatisfied, you could visit us again. We would be happy to help you.
