The half life of i pill is about 24 to 32 hours..  however there are studies where it's only about 8 hours to a longer of 48 hours too... so the pill taken on 5th will not give u coverage till 7th. I wouldn't suggest u to use these emergency contraceptive pill frequently. As they cause hormonal imbalance and thereby problems with future fertility... Please adapt yourself primary contraceptive measures... And please remember emergency contraceptive pills are 2nd line of measures when primary contraceptive fails.
