I have an aunt who had cancer but is in remission. She has had the flu for around 4 weeks and tests showed on Monday that her white blood cell count is 42. She has lost 13 lbs in the last week. Her GP sent her home with antibiotics and told her that he will see about getting her in hospital on Wednesday. Has he given the right advice?
