Iam 26 years old recently from 1 and half month experiencing continuous belching and shortness of breath, so went to general surgeon he did endoscopy and told oesphagitis, not sure if he did endoscopy correctly or not. He prescribed medications and that doesn't help went to another doctor he examined previously done endoscopy and told endoscopy is normal. And prescribed medicine for acid reflux. Now iam feeling better but sometimes iam getting belching but better than previous, I couldn't able to eat as normal person does. Kindly suggest diet for acid reflux and in how many days the acid reflux will reduce. Kindly suggest ways to reduce the acid reflux naturally Sometimes iam feeling just normal shortness of breath without belching is that also a symptom of acid reflux or do I need to go for lung test

Symptoms suggest gastroesophageal reflux with functional bloating. Improvement on medication is reassuring; full relief usually takes 2–6 weeks. Follow small frequent meals, avoid spicy/fatty foods, caffeine, late dinners, and elevate head end while sleeping. Intermittent breathlessness can occur with reflux, but persistent symptoms warrant pulmonary evaluation.

Hi, it is difficult to comment without seeing the images of endoscopy, but some amount of acidity is common be there which will cause reflux and they have to check for H pylori bacteria which can be a reason for continuous reflux and also you have to follow the lifestyle measures like avoidance of spicy food, smoking and alcohol. Also try to have a gap of two hours between sleep and food. please continue the medication which have been advised by the doctor. Also, breathlessness is not a common Associated symptom of reflux so it is better that you consult a pulmonologist or a lung specialist for evaluation and treatment.
