Hi The area is called the rugae. It’s a bumpy tissue on your palate . Inflamed rugaes are generally caused because of eating extremely hot spicy or hard food . Or you would have accidentally injured that area by fork or biting something sharp . This inflammation heals on its own within a couple of days . Rinse with salt water 2-3 times daily which will help in healing . Avoid hot &spicy food for few days .if the inflammation persists for more than a week it would be wise to seek a consult with your dentist for clinical evaluation . Don’t worry you will be fine . Take care .
Health Tips
Avoid spicy and extremely hot food
