Red Bull contains the following ingredients(250ml):
- Caffeine
- Taurine
- B-group vitamins
- Sugars
- Alpine Water
So 1 can of 250ml of red bull contains 77.4gm of caffeine and 26gm of
sugar. The average caffeine content of an 250ml, brewed cup of coffee is 95 mg. A single espresso or espresso-based drink contains 63 mg, and decaf coffee contains about 3 mg of caffeine (on average). The caffeine and sugar content in Red Bull and other energy drinks are very high, and those contents on an empty stomach is likely to have caused you to fall ill. It is likely to have caused gastritis which resulted in the vomiting. I would advise you to be careful with consumption of energy drinks and kindly don't go overboard with it as it can cause complications over time. Cramming and going to an exam with lack of sleep can cause you to have difficulty to remember what you've studied by doing so.
