Vitamin D deficiency
Both my parents have been found to be deficient in Vitamin D, ie, below 20 ng/ml (father- 16 and mother- 18). How to increase the Vitamin D levels? Can a medication be prescribed along with its dosage? Thanks.

Hello. Both of your parents have severe vitamin D deficiency. Give them Inj ARACHITOL-6L 1 amp single dose intramuscular and Cap TAYO 60K 1 cap once weekly before breakfast for 12 weeks. Repeat serum vitamin D levels after 12 weeks. Hope this helps.

Vitamin D Treatment.
1.Arachitol Nano 60 k ( or Calcirol) once weekly.
2.Tab Calcimax 500 mg once daily.
3.Sun Exposure for 20 MINUTES daily.
4.Eat Fish ( if you are non vegetarian).
5.FORTIFIED Cereals.
6.Cod Liver oil.
7. In severe Deficiency , Injection Arachitol 6 Lakh IU once in a month for 3 months .
Next Steps

Inj. Uprise d3 6L once week for 4 weeks followed by tab. D3 must 60k once a week to be chewed once a week for 12 weeks.
Tab. Supracal pro once a day after food for 2 months.
Tab. Neurobion forte once a day after food for a month.
