Use and dosage for promet-N

I have to delay my periods for a trip for few days. The pharmacist gave me this Norethisterone tablets IP 5mg - Promet N. Please advise me for the dosage and will this really help? I'm really confused and need proper guidance please help.

To be taken twice daily  .should  be taken 3 days prior to expected  date for best results.
