Urgent -Can I take tramadol, PCM in infe

Are opioid analgesics contraindicated in infectious diarrhea? Having diarrhea since yesterday with one episode of vomiting, mild fever and body ache for the colicky pain I was prescribed drotaverin, PCM combo but the pain doesn't resolve so the doctor advised tramadol, PCM combo I feel I've read it's contraindicated Please help

It is safe. It is not contra indicated. Also get a USG Abdomen done to rule out other causes of acute Abdomen
