Unable to walk after falling from bed

My grandmother slipped and fell down from bed one week back. She hurt her leg and now she couldn't walk. Doctor gave an injection and tablets for the pain. Next day she was able to walk. But after that again she is unable to walk. As walking itself is difficult what has to be done. Can we use any oniment, pain killers or something.. I am concerned about her age too. Pls help
