I am travelling abroad and had typhoid fever about two months ago. I was sick for a week, went to a clinicand got diagnosed, took 7 days of antibiotics, and recovered. I know that it is possible to remain a carrier for typhoid after symtoms cease. I am returning to the states soon and I'm basically wondering, is there any possibility for me to transmit typhoid to my boyfriend through oral sex? He has crohns disease and a weakened immune system and I don't want to put him at risk.
