Hi , Tympanomastoidectomy with ossiculoplasty was done 4 weeks ago for me.But now am facing some pressure and numbness on the top of my ear and also I catch cold recently so the ear is ringing more with heart beat sound and buzz sounds .Does it mean the tympanoplasty has failed ?and also my hearing seems to be decreased and no improvement as of now.And now a days am feeling numbness in hands and feet during nights ?is it a side effect of using top nerve Medicine or ceftas antibiotic?

It's only been four weeks...the sound and ringing sensation in your ear is normal...the numbness around your ear is because of the incision which cuts the nerves...don't worry... All these will settle within 3-6 months...hearing improvement will come later once the wounds inside heal...that also takes 2-3 months...u have just undergone a surgery... Just relax and stop worrying...
