Transpedicular fixation

My father has had an acute D12 vertebral fracture.He has undergone D10-D11 & L1-L2 fixation and D12 laminectomy.After 11 days have passed, patient is having mild to moderate pain while sitting for more than 30 minutes.Is this normal?

As long as the pain is not continuous it's fine considering the major fixation and laminectomy he has gone through.Usually it takes about 4-6 weeks to recover with analgesics and ost operative rehab program

Recent  incident so it takes  4 to 6 weeks. Use medicine  prescribed by  treating. Gabapentin100 mg one at night.

Hi . Since it's  a recent surgery , persisting pain may be normal at times depending on the activity  . But detailed physical examination must be done . I do advice you to visit the concerned doctor who did the surgery.  Also physiotherapy and pain killers may help.
