Tonsil Stones and Swollen Lymph Nodes
Sorry, I forgot the inquiry on my last post so I am going to post again. I have 3 swollen lymph nodes--2 under my jaw and 1 toward my groin area. I started to get a sore throat in regard to some tonsil stones and later felt that my lymph nodes were swollen. I have had a swollen lymph node before near my groin, but not 3 swollen lymph nodes. Can tonsil stones cause swollen lymph nodes?
Chronic tonsillitis with recurrent acute exacerbations and stones can definitely cause enlargement of cervical lymph nodes. If your lymph nodes are painful then you may need to take antibiotics and painkillers along with antiseptic mouth gargle for few days. Consider tonsillectomy if your symptoms are persistent
