Thyroid query

I am 30 year old mother of one. I’ve gained 30 kgs of weight in last 4 years. I have recently got my thyroid tested, it’s 7.56. I’ve never had thyroid all my life... my doctor has adviced me not to take any medicines below 10. But I get headache and fatigue almost daily. I am looking for a second opinion on the medicine. Please advice.
