Swollen throat

I have had a bad fever for the past week but I have acquired a sore swollen throats as to which I can not swallow a thing. I haven't eaten in 3 days as the pain is too great, I have been taking tablets and remedies but none seem to be working.

Try comforting foods and beverage. Warm liquids — broth, caffeine-free tea or warm water with honey — and cold treats such as ice pops can soothe a sore throat. Gargle saltwater. A saltwater gargle of 1 teaspoon. Gargle the solution and then spit it out.
