I am having painless swollen lips since yesterday evening. no insect bite. FYI i smoked once in the evening.

Hello Dear, Sudden swelling of the lips is commonly due to a reaction because of some allergy. You need to take an anti allergic tablet which will reduce the swelling. You can take Tablet 1AL at night which is a very mild anti allergic and will help you a lot.
