I was diagnosed with IBD (Crohn's colitis) and on mesacol OD tabs since 3 weeks. Got TB skin test and gene xpert from intestine biopsy as negative. My gastro doctor still wants me to put on ATT trial with akurit-4 (4 tabs per day) as I still have on and off fever (99-102). Is it safe to have ATT even if I don't actually have TB? Are the side effects dangerous? I will have periodic LFT as per the doctor's prescription.
