Sudden waking up in sleep

Hi doctor, yesterday I got up from my sleep in the middle of the night while lying flat on my back. I felt as if my heart beat is about to stop and my breath is shortened. I got up startled and turned to my side. Not sure why that happened. I never had high BP, cholesterol or any heart related issues. But this is the second time that I got up suddenly from my sleep while lying flat. Is there something wrong with my heart. Please advise .

Meet a cardiologist. Get ecg and echo test done. Also get auscultation for your lungs. Someone insight to your problem and solution will come from these test and examination
