Binocular double vision may be because of a nerve not functioning properly. Commonly it is the VI Cranial nerve. Get an examination doe by red-green goggles and the diagnosis will be made immediately. Ruling out an aneurysm in the brain is a priority. If there is not neuro surgical emergency it take 2 to 3 months for recovery under supervision.
