You are probably suffering from a condition called PVD or posterior vitreous detachment.. anytime after 40 years the jelly in front of the retina called the vitreous looses its attachment to the retina . It can make you visualise all sorts of shapes of floaters and may persist for months or even over a year. Since you have already seen an ophthalmologist who has said your eye is fine and retina is in place, you need to ignore the floater. No medicine will help.
