Stomach Pain

2016-06-26 04:57:14
The pain started two hours after I had some food from a roadside stand. The pain has been going on for the past 5 days. It hurts when I drink or eat, at the time when the food enters the stomach. Deep breathing also causes discomfort and pain in the abdomen. The upper and mid abdomen seems to be the affected area.

It's likely that you have a severe gastritis (stomach inflammation). Avoid any spicy or oily food. Take antacid like digene. If not relieved, visit for appropriate medication. Regards

try eating several small meals instead of three large ones whenever you can...Avoid foods that irritate your stomach, especially those that are spicy, acidic, fried or fatty... avoid coffee, tea etc... Avoid Stress as it may make your gastritis symptoms worse...consider calming activities, such as meditation, yoga etc...sleep with head raised position and have dinner at least 2 hours before sleep..take over the counter medications with above..consult physician if symptoms persists.

Hello There. I can understand your concern, your complains are consistent with acute gastritis. take a capsule of pantoprazole and levosulpiride half an hour before food once a day for 3 days. avoid oily and spicy foods, and avoid roadside food. consult a general surgeon in person for further help if the issue doesn't resolve. have a bowl of curd everyday after food. best regards, Dr. Anil kumar jain
