SSRI related affect on eyes

Is it safe to take esctialopram which is an ssri for someone who is a glaucoma suspect ( eye pressures on borderline high side but no optic nerve damage yet). Will esctialopram affect angles of the eye or eye pressure in a negative way. Some psychiatric medicines can do that, not all. So I want to know regarding esctialopram (Lexapro).

SSRI's are known to caused raised IOP. It's better to get a complete glaucoma evaluation done before starting SSRI. Complete evaluation includes Perimetry and OCT RNFL apart from IOP and Gonioscopy. SSRI should be avoided in glaucoma patients and that includes escitalopram as well.
