I was on the contraceptive patch for almost 2 years and then I stopped it and recently I just got back on it, I have had my patch free week and had my period but I have noticed that I haven't stopped bleeding. The blood is light red, sometimes it leaks out on the panty liner and sometimes you don't notice it's there unless I wipe myself.
