Im 25 years old and have been taking symbicort for 2.5 years. one puff twice a day. I went in for a spirometry test and my fvc is 85% and my fev1 is 80%. I took a brochodialator and did the test again and there was no signicificant improvement. my doc said i was on the low side of normal and might have intermittent asthma or none at all. However I read up that if the reversibility test does not show any improvement when taking the spirometry again, that could be COPD...so im just wondering...

Copd is not a diagnosis purely based on bronchodilator reversibility alone. Age, exposure to certain risk factors and clinical history and examination needs to be evaluated and then label as Copd.
Next Steps
Will need further evaluation to rule out Copd. However 25 age is too young for Copd to develop, especially due to smoking.
