Hi. My father, 76, had DVT 10 years back. But in a recent scan they said thatDVT does not exist any more. However, he is not able to walk freely. He hasto hold a stick in one hand and a person in another. Even then he is able to walk only a few feet per minute. He naturally gets tired very quickly. May be a peripheral neuropathyl

Slipping of chappals could be due to peripheral neuropathy, if he is diabetic and on metformin , it induses periferal neuropathy due to lack of vitamin B 12, meet physician and  have treatment plan for him. Preferably ask him to wear floater, so his foot muscle need not work to much to hold it and it will minimise changes of any fall....
