Shivering of fingers, hands

I've noticed that my fingers always shiver when I try to keep them steady. I have been ignoring this for almost 4 years as this doesn't affect my day to day activities. But at times when I'm doing things like pouring milk into a cup or lifting weights, my hands start shivering. Of late I've noticed that my face muscles also twitch involuntarily at times. My grandfather had parkinson's after he turned 60. Do you think it could be related. I had done thyroid tests about 4 years back and it was normal. How do I diagnose what this is

Hi The symptoms of Parkinsons usually appear at older age of life. The shivering of hands may occur normally in many individuals, If the frequency of shivering is more and affecting your day to day work, please see a Neurologist for further evaluation. In case of further doubts, please feel free to write back to me. Regards Dr Prashik Meshram
