Severe pain in lower pack

Whenever I sit and work for long hours in office, I get severe pain in my lower back...Consulted doctor and took the medicine and applied ointments. But its still same. Got a X-ray done and everything is normal.... Could anybody advice or suggest on to how get relief from the pain would be great. Thanks
