My niece (age 6 ) is suffering from severe cough he has history of allegery but now he was fine from 2day he has bad cough Normal cough syrup did not work WHAT SHOULD BE DONE plzz provide symtomatic treatment

If there is severe cough which does not subside with regular medicine, please do direct consultation, so that doctor can examine his throat and chest. Aldo viral pharyngitis or throat infection can cause cough. Did he eat anything cold recently like ice-cream or cold drink?
