ROUGH, IRRITATED FACE AFTER TRIMMING

I am male, 25. I don't shave. I trim. I use Phillips' most popular trimmer. After every trimming my facial skin, especially around my cheeks becomes rough and scratchy with whiteness. And I also start feeling irritation in the skin. Please suggest me an 'after trim lotion' or something that I should apply right after trimming. (I don't shave and hence don't use any shaving cream).
